This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") supplements our Terms of Service. Violation may result in suspension or termination.
1. General prohibitions (all Services)
You may not use the Services to:
- Violate applicable law, including export controls, sanctions, or intellectual property rights
- Generate or distribute child sexual abuse material, terrorist content, or non-consensual intimate imagery
- Harass, threaten, defame, or discriminate against any person or group
- Generate content for fraud, phishing, malware delivery, or impersonation
- Circumvent authentication, rate limits, or access controls
- Test, scan, or attack the Services without our express written permission
- Resell or sub-license the Services except under expressly permitted plans
FACEACTIONS — PROHIBITED USE CASES
FaceActions analyzes facial expressions and infers emotion-related signals. Emotion-recognition AI is heavily regulated and ethically sensitive. The following uses are prohibited:
- Workplace surveillance: monitoring employees' emotional state, productivity affect, or "engagement" via face-based analysis.
- Hiring decisions: using facial expression or inferred emotion as a factor in employment screening, interview evaluation, or candidate scoring.
- Educational assessment of individuals: measuring student emotion or attention as a factor in grades or evaluation.
- Law-enforcement applications: identifying suspects, predicting criminality, lie detection, or any policing use.
- Public surveillance: mass monitoring of individuals in public spaces.
- Decisions affecting legal rights: immigration, social services, credit, insurance, or housing decisions.
These align with the EU AI Act, GDPR Art. 9, US state biometric laws (BIPA, etc.), and similar international frameworks. Permitted uses include UX research, content evaluation, academic research, accessibility, training and coaching (with subject consent), and aggregate market research with subject consent. Clinical / medical / telehealth uses are not supported — we don't sign BAAs and are not designed for HIPAA-regulated workflows.
3. AxiomAI-specific prohibitions
- You may not configure an AxiomAI bot to impersonate a specific human without their consent.
- You may not deploy bots that provide regulated professional advice (medical, legal, financial) without appropriate human review and disclaimers.
- You may not deploy bots that capture data from end-users without disclosing that they are interacting with an AI system.
4. Reporting violations
Report suspected violations to abuse@dendritesai.com. We investigate every report.
5. Enforcement
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this AUP. For severe violations (illegal content, security attacks, prohibited FaceActions uses), we may act immediately without prior notice and report to relevant authorities where required by law.
